Petroglyph Pottery
Some people think that the ancient
Indians made petroglyphs as a kind of “newspaper” to record events. This
rock art is found throughout the Southwest. Many of our designs are
based on local rock art.
All designs are drawn by hand using liquid wax with
colors added one by one and built up for depth of color. The multi-color
design contains tan, turquoise, medium brown, medium green, cobalt blue
and black. The background glaze is an off-white satin.
